Tripwire's voter guide is just another way we help our community to not just fight hard, but fight smart . Gunowners deserve the best bang for your political buck, for the time you invest building relationships with elected officials and for the effort you donate to educate people in our community. For you to fulfill your duties in the highest office in the land – voter – you need to be fully informed. We provide information you won't find anywhere else.
Our news service's endorsements are based on each candidate's responses to our extensive survey; on our research of their positions and history; on the role each candidate might play in achieving the community's goals for the coming term; and on incumbents' voting records and history of working either with or against the community interests. Team play is at least as important among legislators as it is among advocates at the grassroots. When we work together, we are stronger than when we work separately and across purposes. The same is true among our friends in the legislature, and we take it into account when recommending this election strategy.
There's much detail here, but we provide it to you in full, rather than send a district-by-district mailing, so you can see the plan as a whole, and share it with friends, family members and co-workers who may not live in the same district. (In districts without local opportunities, you need to know what's near by which you can affect.) Defense of liberty is not something you can subcontract or outsource (the other guy will only protect his interests.) Each of us plays an important role. We have a common interest in the Second Amendment, so we necessarily share the political job of its defense. Tell the truth to gun owners around you: we are stronger with you than without you . Join us and vote as one.
As usual, beware the election-year misinformation that floats around. Everyone will want to be your friend, at least until the ballot box is closed. Partisans fabricate all sorts of whoppers about either their own candidates' history or of their opponents. Let us help you sort it out. If you have a question, ask . When you receive campaign literature having to do with gun policy, send it along so we can track it. Tripwire's effectiveness in reporting on the politics of firearms and civil rights during session depends upon our credibility in reporting records and endorsements during the election. You can help the cause in the coming term by helping us give the most complete reporting and analysis now.
